H-1B Numbers

MEMORANDUM

As you know, I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA). This year, the H-1B numbers were all used by May 26, 2006. If the trend continues, all of the numbers will be used by the very first part of April 2007 for the fiscal year beginning 2007. While April is still 7 months away and next October is over a year away, AILA has concluded that we need to get moving now if we are going to get Congress's attention.

AILA is hoping to have at least 1000 companies sign on to this letter.

Therefore, I am wondering if you are willing to add your company's name to the letter found below.

In addition, if you have time, I am asking that you write your Congressman/woman about the problems caused by the H-1B cap. I have attached a sample letter that you may want to use.

Please let me know as soon as possible whether you are willing to support this endeavor.
