Love Macione Suh graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor's degree in both Anthropology and Urban Studies (emphasis on Policy Analysis). She earned her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, Ms. Macione completed a summer session abroad in Shimla, India, studying Indian Consitutional Law. She also interned at Equal Rights Advocates. Her final year of law school was spent working at Prisoner Legal Services, San Francisco Sheriff's Department and interning at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office.

After being admitted to the California Bar, she has practiced Immigration and Nationality Law, with experience in a wide variety of matters. Ms. Macione has also been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Courts.  She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and has served on the Immigration Pro Bono Panel at the San Francisco Immigration Court. Ms. Macione has also spoken on immigration topics at local not-forprofit agencies and schools.
