Win - Win With TN and H1B

Most of the technical professional graduates of U.S. colleges and universities are foreign students. U.S. employers seeking to employ this talent find the TN and H1B employment authorization are the most favorable employment options available to them.

Form I-9 Dated 11/14/16 Required as of January 22, 2017

As of January 22, 2017, employers are required use the Form I-9 version dated 11/14/16. The Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 is used to verify the identity and work eligibility of every new employee hired after 11/6/86, or for the reverification of expiring employment authorization (if applicable). All U.S. employers must ensure proper completion of Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and noncitizens. Both employees and employers (or authorized representatives of the employer) must complete the form.

EB2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) Made Easy

The Administration Appeals Office (AAO) of the USCIS made it easier for professionals with advanced degrees and individuals with exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business to qualify for green cards by self-petitioning for National Interest Waiver (NIWs) of the employer sponsored labor certification requirement.

Ink Signatures Not Required on Affidavits of Support Announced Department of State

The DOS announcement stated, starting 1/1/17, the National Visa Center (NVC) will accept photocopies and scanned versions of these documents original or "wet ink" signatures are no longer required on submitted Forms I-864, Affidavit of Support. This also applies to the I-864A, I-864W, and I-864EZ.
