August Visa Bulletin Update

The August 2017 Visa Bulletin posted by the Department Of State shows oversubscription of ALL employment-based second preference categories.

High demand for numbers for USCIS adjustment of status applicants has required the establishment of a Final Action Date for August. This action delays green card issuance for persons after the Date and allows the number use to be held within the Worldwide EB2 annual limit.

The EB2 date will become CURRENT for WORLDWIDE, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, HONDURAS, MEXICO, and PHILIPPINES, Employment-based Second (EB2) Preference category in October, the first month of fiscal year 2018, and green card application processing will resume.
